• Monthly Coursera Plus usually starts with a 7-day free trial, which needs a card.
• The annual plan can be refunded within 14 days under Coursera's refund policy.

What can go wrong

If the Coursera payment fails, it is usually one of these:

• Prices and billing options depend on the country — some countries get the monthly plan only.
• Not every program is part of Coursera Plus: university degrees and some certificates are paid separately.
